Welcome!

Home to just over 800 residents, Russellville is a small rural community in Cole County, just 15 miles west of Jefferson City. We are proud of our excellent schools (Cole R1 School District), providing educational opportunities for elementary/middle school, and high school students.

Russellville has two beautiful parks, City Park located at Hatler and Park Streets, and Railroad Park, located downtown across from City Hall. City Park includes an enclosed shelter house (available to rent), an open-air pavilion with tables, and a gazebo. The school’s ballfields are nearby.

Railroad Park is a reflection of our vast history as a MoPac railroad town, offering a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the gardens. Our MoPac caboose is center-stage, anchoring the park. Blue Star Memorial and Gold Star Memorial markers are located within the park, honoring our local veterans and their families. Tables and benches are scattered throughout, providing the perfect setting for lunch or just a break.
